Instead of using vague generalizations to talk about recent episodes, as we do in the other thread, this is the place to speak freely. So if you haven't seen the most recent episode, proceed at your peril.
(These discussions should apply to the TV series. Do try to keep spoilers related to the comic book version to a minimum, and tag them appropriately.)

but can we talk about the comic and what happens in it? Because I'm really waiting on Michonne to appear in the TV show!

No, let's not spoiler the comic. Lots of people haven't read it yet.

Ok, so from Rick's reaction, it seemed like that was the first time he had heard that Laurie is pregnant. If so, then what did the doctor whisper to him in last season's finale?

I'm afraid to even speculate, because when I do find out what Dr. Jensen said, I know I'll be wrong. That being said, I heard from this guy and I don't know what to think of this, but he said that Dr. Jensen said that everyone who dies will become walkers whether or not they've been bitten. This means that if say T dog died of blood poisoning (non-zombie related death), he would still become a walker. I don't know what I think about that, but I wanted to open this up.

Huh, has no one died of a non-bite injury yet? But I don't know why that would be something to be kept secret. Seems like you'd want everyone to know. Like when Carl was close to death, if there was a chance he'd turn, then they'd want to be ready for it.
Maybe someone can un-spoilerishly let us know if there was a whisper in the comic or not.

It was just one thing thrown out there. I thought about the throngs of dead people in the traffic snarl off the highway. They weren't put down, and were your run of the mill corpses, so that would take away from that idea I heard. All I know is that there's walkers in the barn and Lori's pregnant.

Can't remember if everyone's infected or not

What I want to know is, what the hell is a 'mid-season finale'? Seems like a misnomer to me. I mean, is it the last episode or not? Are they taking a break for Christmas? (No zombies during Christmas - you guys know the rules...)

My wife dragged me to see "The Nutcracker" and I slept and dreamt of a Walking Dead Christmas special. But as far as mid-season finales go, that was freaking incredible. That was powerful. And I totally didn't see Sophia being in that barn until you heard one last walker in the barn growling.

Yeah, I didn't see that coming at all. But it was cool to see Rick step and be the one to put her down. And Morg, yeah, there are no more episodes until February.

Like most AMC offerings lately, the writing is first-rate. I watched the first season of 'The Event' on Netflix over the weekend and kept catching plain old stupidity in the dialogue. That should never happen. I really like 'Breaking Bad' as well, which surprised me, considering the premise. I haven't seen this most recent season, and am looking forward to it coming out on Netflix. I heard them say 'resumes in Feb.' last night, which explains it I guess. I stayed up late to watch the dang thing! Glad I did - great work.

I'd gone and read the leaked synopsii for the last two episodes, so knew what was coming (couldn't help myself)
I've been reading a few forums about this last series where there's been folk complaining it was slow, I didn't find that personally - I like that it isn't just about the zombies. Really looking forward to February now.
I've managed to catch a couple of episodes of the Talking Dead online too, that's been quite illuminating.

The only thing I think is bad about zombie movies is, they go after a zombie with an ax, or baseball bat, or machete, but they never get blood on them, and when they do, it's never in the face - eyes, nose, mouth - or it's never addressed as dangerous. Assuming that what the zombies carry is as pervasively contagious as Ebola, say, this would make it difficult to kill a zombie with say, an ax, without becoming infected just from splashback. Fill a cantaloupe with fake blood and cow's brains and hit it with a baseball bat and see what happens. Of course, you can't have all the characters wearing face shields, but in a real zombie epidemic, that's what I would want to be wearing.

Like most AMC offerings lately, the writing is first-rate. Totally off topic, but are you watching Hell On Wheels after Walking Dead? You strike me as the type who might like a western-themed show, and the show itself is great so far.
