Hey Everyone, I do all of my reading on my ebook reader these days, and I have enough ebooks to keep me busy for years, so I'm going to get rid my hard copy books. I'm not charging for the books themselves, only the shipping costs. Media mail to the US will be about $2.50 per book, or if you end up getting more than one, or a hard back, then flat rate boxes run $5 or $11 depending on size. International postage will probably be a bit more. I can take payment via PayPal. Take a look at megaton.imgur.com/free_postapocalyptic_books to see what's available. I'd prefer to spread the books around rather than giving them all to the first person who asks, so I'm using this thread to take requests. In general, it will be first come first served for each book, but once you get one, I'll kind of put you at the back of the line for your next request. If we go a few days with no one else asking for anything, then they'll pretty much be up for grabs to whoever wants what's left. I'd also prefer to give away the Survivalist and Ashes books as sets rather than breaking them up. The Survivalist is complete 1-13, but I seem to be missing books 2 and 3 for Ashes. Those will probably need to go in a $10 box for shipping. Have fun.

My god! ToT!
I'd love to get any, but shipping would make it just like buying a new one! : ( Good luck with this thread lad. I'v seen big inactivity arround the forum. Guess everybody is in the bunkers at this time.

Have you lost your mind ?
I think you are making a major mistake here. I admit to a real dislike of this whole 'E' book thing and think that, at best, they should be there as a back up to real books not a replacement.
By giving away the collection you have, as noble as the sentiment behind it no doubt is, you are depriving yourself of something that might bring you a lot of joy in the future.
How anybody can truly think that reading a book on one of those cursed Kindle things or similar has anything approaching the delight of handling a real book that you might have read a couple of times, lent out to a friend, been given as a present and 101 of the other things that make both book buying and owning such a treat is totally beyond me.
Just get a box, put the books in it and put them away. If you still feel the same about things in a years time then give them away but I really reckon you wont.

Yeah, that's the problem. They've already been in boxes for years. I figure they'll be better off with someone who appreciates them.

Ok, first book is gone. Fear has claimed Day by Day Armageddon.

Ok, so now Commune 2000AD, Day by Day Armageddon and Warlord have been spoken for. Riddley, I'll keep you in mind for whatever's not claimed right away. For now are there any you particularly want?

Wow, so many good books. Iam really interested in Earth Abides. I am not part of this forum...but I saw your post in my Goodreads PA group. Has anyone claimed this one yet?

That's a very nice collection! I'd love The Last Ship if it hasn't been taken already.

So is everyone who asked for a book so far okay with paying via PayPal (or maybe Google Checkout)? If so, consider all the ones mentioned so far to be taken. Oh, and add Hiero's Journey to the taken list.
PM me or email me at megaton at megaton.us with your shipping addresses. I'll try to start getting them in the mail tomorrow.

So it turns out there's no such thing as a media rate for international shipping, so for all of you foreigners, take a look at this page on the US Postal Service website. ircalc.usps.govChoose your country at the top and then small package, then enter a weight. On the next screen, look for First Class Mail at the bottom. I'm guessing a single book would range around 8-16 ounces.
