Has anyone seen this movie? I'm interested to see how it compares to the young adult novel by Meg Rosoff. Summary: An American girl sent to the English countryside to stay with relatives finds herself fighting for her survival as the UK turns into a violent military state. The first hyperlink is a link to IMDB the second is an independent review of the movie. According to IMDB it was released on 10/04 in the UK. I haven't seen mention of it here in the USA theaters near where I reside. www.imdb.com/title/tt1894476/www.denofgeek.us/movies/how-i-live-now/224478/how-i-live-now-review

It only opened in a few cities in the US, but it is on iTunes and video on demand on cable. I liked the book, so I'll try to check out the movie soon.

I remember seeing an advert for it in the cinema before something else, and not being a fan of the whole "teen lovers get separated" story-line i can't say its ever been on me to-see list. But i imagine it won't be long before its out on DVD and the normal services for fairly cheap.

Just watched it on Netflix. Never read the book. It was bland. If you are like me, you'll give any PA movie a chance.. maybe if a teenage romance story interests you, add half a star for a total of 2 out of 4 stars. I hate spoilers so I don't want to say anything particular about the movie.

I've seen it. Definitely not a great film, but it was worth watching once.

I saw the trailers and thought it looked heavy on the soap. I have not read it. HOwever I did like the Life As We Knew It series by Susan Pfeffer. Interesting PA premise where the moon dips out of its orbit and changes weather for the world leading to a permanent winter. YA fiction however well enough written to interest everyone.
