www.denofgeek.us/movies/terminato....ateand-a-rebootDirector Allen Taylor (Game of Thrones and Thor: Dark World) is slated to direct Terminator 5. It is slated to be released in June of 2015. There is another article mentioning that the new Terminator movie is a reboot. Maybe they will be doing something like the Star Trek franchise and remaking the first movie? I looked on IMDB. They are listing James Cameron as a writer on the project and Arnold Schwartzenegger is the only cast member showing so far. There are no details about the plot of the movie on IMDB yet. Hopefully with Cameron having creative input it will be better than Terminator Salvation or Terminator 3.

With all the time travel, the existing Terminator universe already has a bunch of alternate timelines and redos. The could easily reboot the franchise just by having someone go back before the events of the first movie and change everything, just like they did with Star Trek.
I really like the idea of a fresh start, since you don't need to worry about the existing canon, but can pay homage to it if you want to.

Terminator Genisys news I had heard about Matt Smith (Dr. Who) signing for the new Terminator movie. It's title is Terminator Genisys. Click the link above for a picture of the added cast members.

All hail Khaleesi, mother of dragons... and, apparently, John Connor.
