So the opening scene says it took 48 hours for the Screaming to spread across the world. I wonder if it spread like a wave, or if it just popped up in random locations over the course of two days. We see it happen in Pittsburgh and Afghanistan and it seems to be a surprise to both groups.
I'd be curious to see the stories of someone who had some warning that it might be coming.
And if people fell down over the course of 48 hours, did they all wake up at the same time, or did that part also ripple around the world? There might be areas of the world that heard the news about the SEELs waking up and figured out how to deal with them beforehand.

Good point. These are some of the things I would like expanded but I have a feeling we will be left in the dark like the characters. That was one thing I liked about The Stand. You really get a feel for the end of days.

You really get a feel for the end of days. Yes when the plot involves a huge, global event that is going to annihilate many I prefer the godlike perspective. For me it ratchets up the suspense. Which i believe is one reason why so many folks like the first part of The Stand and why Contagion looks interesting to me. Regardless of whatever political ax it might have to grind. On IMDB the main topic of discussion on that film's discussion board/forum is about the politics of the makers and actors. Seems a little ridiculous because the movie hasn't even been released yet.
