I have been trudging through the second part of this series, and have to say what a brilliant pair of books! The characters don't feel over done, and the setting and survival techniques seem very much plausible to me.
There's really no point in me telling anyone to read these because you wouldn't be frequenting this forum if you haven't

I remember liking the first one, but it's been about three years since I read it. Never did get around to reading the second, but I'm sure I will at some point.

The second, like the first, is a very easy read. I find myself constantly wanting to pick it back up to read some more. This is not very common for me. I bounce around between about a dozen different things, but this book keeps drawing me back. I only have about 20 pages left, so I'm going to be lost without it

i actually just stumbled upon the audiobook of the first book. i have read both books in the series and i liked them both very much; for me the audiobook is something nice to put on while i am at work. I like Bourne's writing style in general, it seems as though he would do well in any sort of disaster / pa book where he could use his real life knowledge to flesh out characters. oh yeah... that is one thing i really like about his writing is that there is a lot of research behind what he writes (he knows his sh**!!!)

He put most of the first book online. There is even a forum.

Couldn't get to the end fast enough(in a good way). Really enjoyed it, and found that I wasn't skimming the gun stuff.

Third one wasn't as easy a read - wasn't the same format was it?
As an aside, does anyone know if the main character's name is ever revealed? His real name not nickname.

So is the story wrapped up in the trilogy, or will there be more books? If it's done then I might finally re-read the first and get into the rest.
